About the Club
Coastal Rowing Academy Club (CRAC) was formed in 2020 as an offshoot of the Coastal Rowing Academy and has since grown into an independent, volunteer run community club. Our members are supported by a dedicated committee, experienced instructors, skilled coxes and qualified British Rowing coaches.
We offer fixed-seat rowing in 6-oared Cornish Pilot Gigs and a 4-oared Celtic Longboat as well as coastal sculling in World Rowing (FISA) sliding seat boats from singles to quads. Our crews regularly take part in local regattas, regional events and even the World Championships.
Based at Northney Marina on Hayling Island we're privileged to row year-round and at all states of the tide in the stunning waters of Chichester Harbour.
We are a friendly, sociable and inclusive club of around 90 members, mostly aged from their 30s to 70s. Whatever your fitness level or rowing experience, there is a row for you.
